80 Day Obsession – DONE
Well, I did it! I completed Beachbody’s 80 Day Obsession program! Whew! It was extremely enlightening… I learned that I “can do hard things,” I can workout everyday, I can improve my strength and lift heavier, I can make healthier food choices, and I can fit into size 2 jeans.
This program requires a lot of equipment. You need several sets of dumbells, and I recommend a kettlebell, or a kettlebell handle, sliders and resistance loops. You might need a mat too. I had to buy heavier weights as the program progressed. Generally, you’ll need a set of light, medium and heavy weights for each day.
This program is no joke! But is is doable even for the less fit among us. There is a program modifier, and if that is still too much, there are many more ways to modify many of the moves. Personally, I found that some of the moves were way too hard on my knees and I had to look for ways to make it work. They are out there.
Overall, I lost 12.5 pounds and 14 inches. Not too shabby!
The timed nutrition plan takes A LOT of effort. Especially if you’re like me and hate meal planning and prepping. You’re eating all of the time, and you’re eating specific combinations of foods, and you’re eating at particular times of the day. Honestly, I gave up. And, I regret that. But, there’s always next time!
