What inspires me…
I spent the better part of the last decade + planning to lose weight and get in shape. I joined a gym, tried Nutrisystem (2 times), Weight Watchers (a few times), other diet solutions, personal trainers, buying a bicycle, attempting Couch 2 5K, fat flushes, cleanses. I even tried miracle pills. I am the proud owner of quite the diet book library. I spent a lot of money.
Then, I got mad. I got mad at myself for planning and not doing. I was tired. I was tired of being sick and tired. And fat. Although I wasn’t new to Beachbody fitness (it was another of the things I tried), I hadn’t given it much effort. Until I did. And, it has been amazing.
A friend on Facebook noticed I was doing 21 Day Fix and invited me into a challenge group. And then, I was invited into a private support group. I finished an entire round of 21 Day Fix for the first time. And then, I started the Tony Horton Fitness Fusion challenge and got into a big group of folks all doing the same workouts with world renowned trainer Tony Horton (you know, “do your best and forget the rest…”). This led me to signing up for a BOD (Beachbody On Demand) account so I’d have access to all of his programs. Then, 80 Day Obsession was about to start with super trainer Autumn Calabrese (the 21 Day Fix trainer) and she was offering the opportunity to be in a special “coach test group.” Well, that was that. I was in. I just had to sign up as a Beachbody Coach.
Now, as of this writing, six months have gone by. I’ve lost about 50 pounds and many inches. I went from squeezing into size 16 to size 4 (!!). I feel better, healthier, and stronger than I have in years. I want to share that with others. Being an active participant in Beachbody challenges with like minded people has been the most inspiring, encouraging, and motivating experience for me. It works!
The beauty of it is that you don’t have to be a fitness or nutrition expert. Beachbody has those in abundance. All it takes is the desire to be helpful. If I can be an inspiration to just one other person, then it’s all worth it.
