What is Beachbody on Demand (“BOD”) and how can I get it?
One of the things I get asked about all of the time is what I use to do my at home workouts?
I’ve been doing my workouts consistently, and exclusively, at home using Beachbody programs since July, 2017. And, I’ve lost 70 pounds. I am still excited every day to get up and get it done!
I was really hesitant to sign up for the streaming workout plan, Beachbody on Demand (“BOD”), mainly because when I joined Beachbody for the first time back in 2015 and had a BOD account and NEVER used it. Then again, I was also paying $60 a month for a gym membership I wasn’t using…
But, fast forward to when I quit making excuses, and started making fitness a PRIORITY. For the first 6 months, I used the programs we owned on DVD. Then a Tony Horton Fitness Fusion challenge came up… I LOVE Tony Horton and I wanted to be in his Facebook Group. The problem was that I didn’t own all of the programs he was using on DVD. So, I had to get BOD to be in the challenge.
Signing up for BOD was a GAME CHANGER. I love the diversity in the programs that are offered in the BOD account and a hundred bucks a year was a lot cheaper than buying all of Tony’s programs so I could do his challenge. Then, the next program I wanted to do was only going to be available on BOD. Now, it looks like BOD is going to be the only option because Beachbody is not going to sell DVDs anymore.
BUT, don’t worry. BOD is easy to use and can be viewed on several devices. It’s like Netflix, but for workouts. All you need is an internet connection and a TV or other device, like a computer, iPad, tablet, or even your phone. You can access via a web browser or you can use an app or a streaming device.
Personally, I use my iPad and log in using Safari. I do have the BOD app installed, but I rarely use that. However, there is an advantage to the app, in that you can download the workouts for offline viewing if you have enough storage space. My husband, on the other hand, uses the Firestick on the TV. This is great because sometimes we are working out at the same time doing different programs. Score!
BOD is really easy to use. Honestly, you can’t go wrong, and there’s several payment options. If this sounds like something you’re interested in, let me know! I’d love to help you get started and find a program that’s right for you.
